You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. This page explains exactly what is removed, what is kept, and why.
Your account stops working straight away and you are signed out on every device.
For 30 days after you delete it, your account can be restored by logging in with the same email address and password — the app will offer to bring it back. After 30 days your personal data is erased permanently and cannot be recovered by you or by us.
Email hello@loantracker.app from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm by reply, and the same 30-day window applies from the day we action it.
| Your name, email address and phone number | Erased after the grace period |

| Your password and username | Erased after the grace period |
| Your login sessions and devices | Revoked immediately |
| Your notification history and email reminders | Erased after the grace period |
| Loan requests neither party confirmed | Cancelled immediately |
A loan on LoanTracker is a record shared by two people. If deleting your account erased those records, it would also erase the other person's proof of money they are owed or still owe — which is not yours to delete. So loans you already confirmed with someone else stay on their account, along with the name they agreed the loan under, so their record still makes sense.
| Loans you confirmed with another person | Kept on their account |
|---|---|
| Payments recorded against those loans | Kept on their account |
| Your display name, shown on those loans | Kept on their account |
The other party is told that you deleted your account. They keep the loan and its payment history, but you will no longer appear in searches, receive reminders, or be able to confirm anything. Loan requests that neither of you had confirmed yet are cancelled outright, because they can never be completed.
